BDH S1 Sequential Shifter – Mechanical Sequential Switch with Dynamic Inertia Mechanism™

The BDH S1 is an all-aviation aluminum CNC sequential shifter with the industry’s first Dynamic Inertia mechanism™. Instead of relying solely on spring tension as usual shifters, a proprietary weight-inertia system consisting of ball bearings, compression springs and internal dampers converts every lever movement into a realistic impulse – comparable to the energy boost of a real race car gear lever. The two-stage clutch system mimics the resistance, preload and shift point of a dog-box transmission. The mechanical resistance can be adjusted without tools via an integrated tension thumbwheel – without disassembly and without leaving the cockpit.

• Sequential operation only: The S1 is designed exclusively as a sequential shifter. The separately available BDH Active Shifter is intended for H-type operation.
• No upgrade from Active Shifter: The internal mechanics of the S1 and the Active Shifter are not compatible – no mutual upgrade possible.
